Acoustic music!
Simon O'Grady and Tim White. Simon is a local singer-songwriter who uses a mix of open tunings, folk-inspired melodies and thoughtful lyrics, accompanied by Tim White on banjo. Previously with folk/jazz band Grand Union and Soukous band Taxi Pata-Pata. Since going solo he has been playing acoustic venues around London, performing finger-picking style guitar to warm and dark songs.
Jim Cozens is a classic singer songwriter and storyteller, his songs are personal, universal, joyful and moving. In a long, glorious, off-grid career he's played his songs to audiences all around the world, written for other artists, music for radio, television and movie productions and had a bloody good time in the process.
New to Peppard
3times7 is an acoustic duo inspired by funk, soul and blues. They play a mix of originals and reinvented covers and are known for bringing positive feel good vibes.
New to Peppard
9:30 Friends is duo Lucy Loves Vincent (Damien and Jen, joined by Richard Wilton. Damien and Jen started on the Brighton open mic scene using guitar and flute to provide a simple backdrop to accompany their natural vocal harmonies. Richard is most often heard at Lincoln Folk Club Revival. In the past he’s appeared at Oxford Folk Weekend, amongst other venues.
New to Peppard
Muntjac is a rock cover band based in Reading consisting of Dan (guitar & vocals), Andy (drums) and Dave (bass & vocals). They met via Meetup a decade ago. Muntjac want to find the sensitive side to Nu Metal and make pop songs anxious. Foo Fighters’ Dave Grohl is their creative muse, admittedly more by accident than by design..
Foster is a Reading-based acoustic covers artist delivering passionate and memorable interpretations of pop, rock and folk songs underpinned by his adept instrumental skill. He brings a mix of familiar and more obscure cuts to the stage, but all of them are equally captivating.
Out on Licence was conceived at Peppard with three musicians coming together to make very different to music to that which each would do on their own. Includes Kevin Bull, Dave Taylor and Paul Steel.
One Lump or Two comprises Tom, Lynnette and Martyn who play in several local bands, most notably The Kennet Delta Cowboys, but One Limp or Two is what they do for fun. Creative reimagining of songs you'll know and obscure quirky whimsical treats. Foot tapping and singalong jollity is this entertaining trio is about.
